Collection: POREE Catherine
In the series of the Corridors of the Louvre , the filtering light highlights the woodwork, while that of the staircases reveals the wrought iron and plays with the patterns of the tiles. Catherine Porée's recent creations focus on musical instruments or architecture, treated between shadow and light, inviting a visual meditation that often frees itself from the presence of characters. This absence gives way to an introspective serenity. Painting in oil, the artist chooses this technique for its ability to work the material and the glazes, thus allowing a time of development necessary for the creation of a refined and profound work. Through each canvas, the artist invites an exploration of light and its effects, transforming each scene into a unique visual experience.
