Collection: BOURZEIX Maguy

Originally from Finistère, Maguy Bourzeix grew up with the practice of drawing as a matter of course, finding in this art a natural way to express her sensitivity. At the same time, she cultivated a passion for theater and trained in Dramatic Art Diction at the Brest Conservatory.

Her travels and experiences have enriched her artistic journey. After a stint in Paris, she lived in the United States before returning to France, where her meeting with Daniel Rouvière and the Art and Nature courses in Barbizon marked a decisive turning point in her technique. It was also in Barbizon that she held her first exhibitions, beginning a prolific career.

His works have been exhibited in prestigious venues, including the Salon des Peintres de l'Armée at Les Invalides, the Salon Art en Capital at the Grand Palais, and the Salon Comparaisons, in Dan Jacobson's group. His involvement in the artistic world was also demonstrated by his commitment to the Comité des Artistes Français for several years.

Christian Germak, the late art critic, praised his talent in these terms:
"She has pictorial art as her ideal, a sensitivity to forms as her style, the vivacity of colors as her support, and, as a result, a figurative work entirely dedicated to a poetry inspired by her feminine receptivity which has always remained open to the things of this world."

With an assertive technique and a vibrant sensitivity, his work invites a poetic exploration of the world that reflects both his personal experiences and his deeply human outlook.
